People of all age groups walked towards Rajkiya Kanya Uchya Vidyalaya (Government Girls Secondary School) with excitement where the camp was organized. The long queues could be seen trailing outside the consultation rooms where the people discussed their health problems with the doctors who had accompanied IFFCO Kisan Sanchar Limited officials to this village for providing relief to the village community. A community, which has been feeding the urban population, but whose health needs have been overlooked. The nearest health facility is miles away at district Headquarters.

The camp started at 11 am and went on till 2 pm. Dr. Seema, who has been practicing abroad for the past couple of years, enthusiastically spoke to the shy women about health issues. Meanwhile, in the adjacent room, the male doctors along with another female doctor checked the blood pressure, conducted blood sugar test etc. and gave free consultation and medicines.

At the same time the children readily lined up to get their height and weight measured by Mr. Ganesh Das, Assistant National Head Sales. During the process they happily agreed to entertain us with the stories and poems they had learnt at school. This effort of the children was awarded with candies and sweet meats.People walked back to their homes happy, satisfied and with medicines.

This camp could not have been a success without the able support of Mr. Subhash, IFFCO Kisan coordinator of the village.
